“Chigiri-e” Japanese Art Class

(Other designs available at class)
Technique is applicable to pictures or cards

Chigiri-e is a traditional Japanese art using hand dyed Japanese paper called Washi. It is torn into different shapes and sizes of paper to glue onto a board or card front to form a picture. Visually it looks like an oil painting or water colour painting, but it is all made with paper. In the class, you will be making a picture  size of 18cm & 26cm.
This technique can easily be used in cardmaking.

Each Participant must bring to class: 
Pen & paper to take notes. Everything else is supplied.

powder recipes, learn to emboss stamps using Tombow Markers, create
neat Resist Techniques, make your own Faux Rusted Copper and MORE!
